When this customer brought this 55’ Chevy Bel Air to us for some header work, we saw an all too familiar problem. They were a set of ceramic coated mild steel headers that were cracking apart at the flanges and to make this worse, they had to be dented just to make them fit. Instead of repairing the originals, we went with an American made 304 Stainless Steel which allowed us to use tight radius bends right off the head for a quick turn so we could avoid denting the primary tubes. The motor in this 55’ Chevy is a 383 stroker equipped with a 300 shot of nitrous, that the owner mentioned he has yet to use.
